Steve: I come from a real estate family. I have uncles who are top realtors in Victoria year after year for 30 years running, others are project managers for major developers, and my grandpa founded Town and Country real estate and insurance. Growing up with my mom mainly, most weekends were spent with her going to open houses where we got ideas for the live-in flips we often did. Naturally, I was excited to start my first live-in flip investment in 2012 at the young age of 24.

My career has mainly been in business development. For 6 years while I was in my 20s I worked for an aviation company building their distribution channels from scratch which turned into a global network and created millions in revenue.

Two of the top things I got from this were 1) the ability to genuinely connect with anyone quickly and what it takes to build a trusting relationship. And 2) I often worked with domestic and foreign militaries. In fact, my boss was a US Air Force Colonel and working with him taught me the benefit of good leadership, systems, discipline, and a very strong worth ethic – “the job was never done”.

In The REINVESTORS, I’m the analytical, detailed and data/stat guy. I am experience driven, resilient, and the risk averse one who believes that anything is possible with the right team and execution plan. I love connecting with people. I love the thrill of the hunt. And I want to grow into being a very successful developer.

In life, I love hockey and anything that has to do with adrenaline or the outdoors. I’m engaged to my best friend, Rebecca, and we are thinking that a Bali wedding with close friends and family sounds perfect. Running relaxes me and I love a good challenge, even if that means “failing” at it because I know I’ll get something out of it.
